PoE Injector and PoE Splitter Cable Functions and Applications | FS
This video introduces the functions of PoE injectors (https://goo.gl/rtfHnq) and PoE splitter cables (https://goo.gl/K3ZYbr) and their applications in PoE networks.
Active PoE injectors are commonly used to transmit data and at the same time provide power to PoE devices, such as PoE IP cameras, PoE wireless access points and PoE VoIP phones. It is very convenient to use PoE injectors when the Ethernet switch or other devices (like NVR connected with the security cameras) have no PoE function but PoE devices need to be used. The PoE injector connects to the switch then adds the power supply to the output line that goes to the PoE devices. FS.COM provides three types of 10/100/1000M PoE injectors: 250W 2*8-port mid-span PoE/PoE+ injector, 30W single-port PoE/PoE+ injector and 18W single-port PoE injector. The distance between the PoE injector and the PoE device can be up to 100 m when using the Cat5e Ethernet cable or better Ethernet cables.
On the contrary, passive PoE splitter cables function to divide the PoE signal into power and Ethernet and deliver them separately through two cables. It is designed to be used with PoE switches and non-PoE routers, surveillance cameras, etc., where there are no extra power sockets for the device.
