CAIT Mulls Trade Boycott of Turkey, Azerbaijan |NewsX

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) is holding a national conference today, May 16, in New Delhi to deliberate on a potential nationwide trade boycott of Turkey and Azerbaijan. This move comes in response to these countries' support for Pakistan during India's recent Operation Sindoor. CAIT, representing over 9 crore traders across India, has already called for a travel boycott and is now considering halting all import-export activities with the two nations. The decision could significantly impact bilateral trade, with India's exports to Turkey valued at $5.2 billion and imports at $2.84 billion between April 2024 and February 2025
