This video by Baljeet Parmar recalls how despite a bad professional patch superstar of yester-years Rajesh Khanna was a great host for his guests. Remembering a chance visit to superstar Khanna's house at a critical time when income tax scrutinies had choked Rajesh Khanna and his resources, Parmar recalls visiting Khanna's abode along with a Punjabi family whom Rajesh Khanna personally hosted despite his very limited resources. Parmar recalls how Khanna went in his Maruti 800 car to bring snacks and cold drinks for these unannounced guests, including Baljeet Parmer himself, from Punjab.
Khanna was not only courteous and warm as a host but also exhibited enormous grace under most trying of times that he had had those days.
Quite unbelievable for a superstar to be so humble and gracious in his hour of crisis, Parmar and his Punjabi family friends were profoundly touched by this great character that the actor embodied.
Baljeet Parmar recalls having escorted the same family of Gurwaryam Singh to houses of other stars of those years, Dharmendra and Raj Babbar, the same day where the hospitality accorded to them was far bigger, however Rajesh Khanna's humble grace was the profound memory which Parmar still ruminates and shall continue to do so till the rest of his life.
