Old Rusty Bench Metal Shear Restoration Whitney Tool

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. That rare vintage tool I found at flea market! It’s really treasured for me! This is a metal shear cutter, №38 shear 3/16 capacity, Whitney metal tool co Rockford Illinois USA. The restoration process was very long and interesting. First off all I'm dissembling the metal shear and use solvent, rust remover liquid and so on. Because I don’t have a sandblaster I the paint remove was not easy for me. When I removed all paint I started to used putty fiber and epoxy and then I used a primer (The primer also protects against rust). Further I used a paint 2–3 layers and started to assembled shear. Finally, I made test for you. I hope you will enjoy this restoration video.
