Northern Lights dazzle the sky after geomagnetic storm

An extreme geomagnetic storm has made the Northern Lights visible from across the globe.

It's been called the most extreme example of space weather in more than 20 years.

However, the fear for scientists is the storm disrupting communications, the power grid and satellites.
