Figueroa vs Escandon Full Fight: September 30, 2018 - PBC on FS1

Unbeaten super bantamweight Brandon Figueroa met Columbian Oscar Escandon in an action-packed headlining bantamweight bout on September 30, 2018 from Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, California.

Both Figueroa and Escandon set the pace early on as they went to war for the first three rounds. Figueroa made a decision to fight from the inside and apply pressure to Escandon. As both fighters continued to brawl, close action led to an accidental head butt causing a large cut over Figueroa’s left eye.

By the tenth round, Figueroa closed in on Escandon with a robust combination sending him to the canvas. “Escandon is tough. He is short and it was hard to get to the body,” said Figueroa. “I can fight both inside and outside, but his size did matter. I had to get in there and he wasn’t backing up. I was ready for this fight. Opportunities like this don’t come often so I had to take it and run with it. I have been training all summer and I am ready to take a few days off and get right back to it.”
