Ever wanted that classic Pottery Barn look but without the price tag? This is part 2 of our entry way makeover showing how you can have this look with Fusion Mineral Paint.

Here is how we created this faux-wood look:

Cleaned with TSP Alternative
Painted 2 thin coats of Chateau by Fusion Mineral Paint as our base colour
Using a brush apply the glaze liberally over your surface
Take the end of broom (this can be from the dollar store) and drag this across the glaze.

If you drag the broom across the glaze in long, straight stroke- this technique will help to simulate the natural grain of wood.
