How to Use the Flexible Metal Tack Strip

Watch this video to see how to use the Flexible Metal Tack Strips, used to attach fabric panels to upholstered furniture. This flexible tack strip is used primarily in curved areas where the other types of tack strips (straight metal tack strip or cardboard tack strips) won’t work. Use the flexible tack strip where an edge takes a turn/curve like on curved arms, outside wings and arched backs of chairs. This flexible tack strip (also called ply grip) is stapled in place on your chair and then its teeth grip and hold the fabric in place.
