About this episode:

If you're a stock photographer or stock filmmaker, or even if you're just getting started, I'm sure it already crossed your mind.
Today we’re going to compare many aspects of selling stock photography and selling stock footage. Although you can do both using the same agencies and even the same equipment, there are significant differences you'd like to be aware. You'll find many differences in the workflow, earnings, speed & number of sales, and different tools for both sides.

My goal with this video is to show photographers & filmmakers how the other side of the coin works and the way to follow if you plan to increase your income doing it (i.e., agencies, workflow and best tools). I also want to help beginners with useful data so you can take your own decision on which path to follow.

To ensure this analysis is as real as possible; I invited a special guest to participate in today's episode. I got surprised by his honesty and transparency. I’m honored to introduce photographer & blogger Alex Rotenberg.

Alex is famous for writing “The Brutally Honest Guide to Microstock Photography.” This eBook is a must-read for every photographer in the Stock Photography world.

We had an excellent conversation, and I believe I did a good job selecting the best parts of it. Alex will be talking from the photography side, while I'll be representing the footage side.
WHAT SHOULD WE DISCUSS NEXT?
Evolution of earnings? Commercial vs. Editorial? Best Sellers Earnings? Workflow? This is totally up to you guys! Leave a comment and we’ll definitely be back in the future!
