Dolphin encounter - Cruise ship Borealis - Scotland

The maiden voyage of this ship had already produced amazing weather and stunning scenery, the best of which we've captured on video and sharing here.

We had hoped for some wildlife spotting on this UK coastal scenic cruise. Fred Olsen cruises rightly pointing out how the west coast of Scotland can produce such encounters. But mountains, coasts and islands are one guarantee. The behaviour of animals....well that can surprise or disappoint when we cruise or travel.

But late in the afternoon of the first full day at sea, a pod of dolphins appeared and put on a fabulous display of keeping up with our ship. And here is that rare and delightful moment.
