Insta360 Snap Review – No Bias, Touchscreen Not Working on iPhone 15 Pro Max

I recently got my hands on the new Insta360 Snap, which only came out a couple of weeks ago, and wanted to share a quick unboxing and real world demo.

Just to be clear, this unit was provided by Amazon, not Insta360, and there was no requirement to say anything positive or negative. This is a completely unbiased review based on my own experience.

The idea behind the Snap is actually really interesting and, like most Insta360 products, the design is solid. Setup was simple and I walk through how it works in this video.

However, I ran into a major issue. The touchscreen would not respond at all when connected to my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I spent around an hour troubleshooting, reconnecting, and trying different settings, but couldn’t get it working.

What makes it more confusing is that it worked perfectly fine on an iPhone 15 Pro, so this could be a compatibility issue rather than a faulty unit.

Because of that, I won’t be keeping it. It’s a shame, as I do like Insta360 products, but if it doesn’t work with my main phone, it’s not something I can rely on.
