The house points system in Harry Potter is broken. In the first book, someone gets 1 point for answering a question correctly, and Harry and Ron get 5 points a piece for tackling said troll and saving Hermione. In the second book, Hermione gets 20 points for answering 2 questions correctly. How did it go from 1 point for a question to 10 points for a question in one year? And then comes Quidditch.
