Tesla just announced a $5 Billion capital raise. Issuing new stock dilutes current shareholders.

By using the capital to accelerate growth, the gains in current share value are far greater than the cost of dilution.

Elon Musk is affected more by this dilution than anyone else, and he thinks this is the right thing to do.
