My First Prop Build Fail, Emanator Electronics Nightmare

This was not the video I was planning to make.

In this episode of Chris Makes Props, I hit my first proper build fail. The Joy Eminator was coming together nicely, but the electronics have completely stopped me in my tracks.

I can get the light to work.
I can get the music to work.
But I cannot get them to work together.

The tactile switch refuses to properly control the power module. The MP3 board plays, the LED lights, but nothing switches off the way it should. No matter how I wire it, no matter what I test, and no matter how many online guides or AI tools I ask, I cannot get both functions running cleanly from the same switch .

I’m not someone who likes being beaten by a project, but sometimes the best move is to step back. For now, I’m shifting focus back to the Spinner build, which I’m loving, and I’ll return to the Emanator when I either find a solution or one of you legends points me in the right direction.

If you know how to solve this switching issue between a power module, tactile switch, MP3 board and LED, I would genuinely appreciate your input.

Sometimes builds go smoothly. Sometimes they fight back.

This one is fighting back.
