The Italian lifestyle - how I am figuring it out ! #16

Italy and my rustic Italian farmhouse renovation in Le Marche region of central Italy. I clean up the wall to expose the rustic old original stonework which makes for a beautiful feature in the lounge area. The stone and brick fireplace is cleaned out and I reuse a the original stone for the front of the hearth.

My visit to the builders merchants goes well as I order more materials for delivery over the coming weeks. The plastering continues as I try to work out of the corner of the lounge area where my home office will be located. It feels like progress is being made. Having pulled more out for the old barns I am able to clear deeper and get to the old big trees. An ants nest may have killed one of the trees off but I hope to salvage it. I have removed the dead branches and cleared all of the overgrown ivy and brambles. The weather is warming up with the nigh sky being bright with stars on clear nights.

i take the drone and camera out on a tour of Le Marche to show you the region near my house to give you a feel for the space and style of Italian houses.
