KDX200 0-60 and top speed

This is a 2004 Kawasaki KDX200. Gearing is 15/46. The bike is mostly stock. The top end is fresh and I did a little bit of porting while I was in there, just knife edging the intake bridges and opening up the boost ports. The pipe is an FMF Desert Gnarly with a Turbine Core silencer. The only other modification is a KX250 reed block which required some porting and fabrication to fit. The reed block made a significant difference and was a big improvement over the stock KDX item.

It gets up to speed quickly despite much taller gearing than stock and the altitude up here which is approximately 5500 feet. Like all other naturally aspirated engines it would be making 20% more power at sea level. The top speed is right about 90 MPH. The speedo is only marked up to 80 but the needle looks like its about another 10 MPH increment beyond that.
