In today’s video we are going to talk about white sapphire which is also called “safed pukhraj”. This is the stone of Venus. And I am going to tell you that it can also be worn instead of diamond.

Now talking about jewellery, white sapphire looks really beautiful in jewellery. If you have seen a sapphire and know about sapphires, so yellow sapphire, blue sapphire & pink sapphire belong to the same family which is called “Corundum”.

And, there is only one colour which does not come in this family, and that is ‘red sapphire’.

If I talk about white sapphire, these become colourless, exactly transparent white colour. It can have a little tinge of yellow and blue colour because they are from the same family.

As price decreases, the colour becomes visible. If it is really expensive, the stone becomes colourless. The average range starts from Rs.3000/- which will have a little tinge of either yellow, blue or green colour. Or if we talk about the price range of Rs 1.5 lakh or Rs 2 lakh per ratti, Rs 2 lakh per carat or Rs 3 lakh per carat, which are really expensive pieces and have no inclusions.

As the inclusions increase in the stone, its gravity increases accordingly. The stone which has the least or no inclusions will be the best stone for astrological purposes.

Talking about the benefits, it is a very important stone which enhances your creativity and brings artistic abilities out of you.

Who can wear this stone? This stone is important for people who belong to the hospitality industry, travel & tourism, import export or beauty industry.

Now talking about jewellery in which it can be worn. If we talk about necklaces or fashion jewellery, there are a lot of beautiful designs all over the world which are made with white sapphire. But if you are wearing it for astrological purposes then there metals are used - platinum, white gold or silver.

If I talk about origin, the best stones come from Ceylon, Sri Lanka. They are the best in the world. After that we have Tanzania, Burma, Australia and a lot of other countries where sapphires come from. The best white sapphires currently available are Srilankan sapphires. So you can consider the origin as well while you make the purchase.

Make sure whenever you get your jewellery made, the stone should touch your finger. If it does not touch then it will not give any benefit.

If I talk about India, diamond jewellery is available here in abundance but white sapphire jewellery is not available. Internationally, white sapphire is used in rings, jewellery, necklaces, earrings and with the same cut. If you see the cuts in diamond, they are very beautiful, white sapphire is also available in the same cut. But in India it is only for astrological purposes so the cut is different which we can make out easily..
