Martha Graham Legacy Project, Library of Congress

Producer/Director for documentation project on the creative process of Martha Graham for the Library of Congress (LOC) 1999-2001, supported by Doris Duke Foundation, featuring former and current dancers of the Martha Graham Dance Company (MGDC) Project Director, Vicky Risner, Dance Specialist , LOC and Jon Newsom, Chief, LOC Music Division worked with Janet Eilber, former principal dancer + Artistic Director of the Martha Graham Resources, now MGDC Director. November 1999 began production of coaching sessions, rehearsals etc. at Chelsea Studios, NY as MGDC prepared for performances in Washington, D.C. and Europe. Anna Kisselgoff interviewed Pearl Lang and Yuriko Kikuchi. Peter Sparling interviewed Bertram Ross, Stuart Hodes, Christine Dakin, Terese Capucilli, Dudley Williams and Janet Eilber. Janet Eilber interviewed Bertram Ross, May O'Donnell, Sophie Maslow, Mary Hinkson, Ethel Winter, Helen McGeehee, and in London, Jane Dudley, Nina Fonaroff and Robert Cohan.
November 1999 LOC Coolidge Auditorium, site of Appalachian Spring premiere. 4 camera switch + iso D-beta recording performance and dress rehearsals. Dances: "Appalachian Spring," "Frontier," "Heretic," "Satyric Festival Song," "Deep Song" "El Penitente." Also "An Act of Becoming" new work based on letters of Graham and Aaron Copeland during LOC commission of "Appalachian Spring."
