Because the state of knowledge and regulatory approaches for PFAS continue to evolve rapidly, ITRC’s goal is to periodically review and update the PFAS resources. The videos posted here were developed in fall 2019.
ITRC does not endorse any products or brands mentioned in the videos.
ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
This video provides a brief overview of information about the human health and ecological effects of exposure to PFAS. The purpose of this video is to assist the viewer in understanding the sources of exposure to PFAS and the potential adverse effects of PFAS to humans and to ecological receptors.
ABOUT THE ITRC PFAS TEAM:
The ITRC PFAS Team was established in 2017 and has developed a series of fact sheets, tables of technical information and data, and a technical document that help regulators and other stakeholders improve their understanding of the current science regarding per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). PFAS are a large and complex class of anthropogenic compounds whose prevalence in the environment have become an emerging, worldwide priority in environmental and human health. This series of training modules provides an overview of the information included in the ITRC technical resources. We encourage you to view all of the training modules and explore the PFAS Web-Based Technical and Regulatory Guidance Document that is published at https://pfas-1.itrcweb.org/
