Our long and rich relationship with the work of playwright August Wilson continued in 2016 with our ninth production of his American Century Cycle: "Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom," directed by Phylicia Rashad at the Mark Taper Forum. We love revisiting Lillias White’s performance in the title role as she nails her part in a recording studio so on edge you could cut the tension with a knife.
