Upgrade of Google WiFi to ASUS ZenWiFi AX6600 Mesh WiFi 6 XT8 - Comparison - Great Result!

We have been using Google WiFi for about three years, but our network started to struggle with the kids getting older and watching videos etc., and working from home.

When I was researching what Mesh WiFi system to upgrade to, the Netgear Orbi RBK852 AX6000 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System came recommended, BUT I wasn't comfortable spending AUD1,200 on an upgrade. A few reviews spoke about the ASUS XT8 WiFi 6 as a better value option, but I couldn't find any videos that compared real-world performance.

So I took a gamble and went with the ASUS option, and my daughter convinced me to make a video to help others making the same decision.

As of publishing, we've now been using the ASUS network for four days. I've set up the backhaul over ethernet and it's really good. The performance is MUCH better and I'm getting much higher speeds than I ever did on Google WiFi. Interestingly ASUS gets a higher speed at the primary router connected to the gateway, I'm not sure how that's possible, but I'm seeing it validated by the Okla speed test, so a valid result.

We're not "YouTubers", so be nice, but we hope this help folks!
