Steve Perry was a master at mixed voice, seamlessly coming in and out of the sound so that most of the time when you didn’t even know he was doing it.

In “Who’s Crying Now” we see Steve Perry back to that more gentle, legato sound and combined with the songwriting, it really creates a melancholy, lamenting feel.

The perfect harmonies in the song are also layered in such a way as to not overtake the track and to keep with that sensitive approach. I’ll show you how you can create this same sound as we walk through it together.
