NEWBORN BATH/MATERNAL NEWBORN SKILLS DEMONSTRATION

In this video I demonstrate how to give a newborn a bath in the hospital. Bath time can be a great opportunity for educating the parents on normal/abnormal newborn characteristics, its also great bonding time for them and helps the nurse in establishing a therapeutic relationship with the patients.
Follow along and study by answering these questions.

1. What temperature does baby need to be to get a bath?
2. How long should we ideally wait to do a newborn bath?
