Wood Automata Concertina Player

This is a wood automata playing the Chemnitzer type of concertina as found in most Polka bands. I tried to make the concertina as authentic as I could but the size does put limitations on it. For example, I'm sure some have noticed the addition of a high/low switch and there are only ten buttons! The concertina bellows are made from standard craft paper which is slightly thicker than ordinary paper. I tried to make the bellows authentic but that would require adding an extra layer on each bend in the bellows and then it becomes too thick and stiff for this mechanism. My sister-in-law Deb stopped by one day and took about 2 minutes to show me how to fold the bellows origami style and that looked good so I went with it. The middle piece in the bellows is used to mount the bellows on the top of the legs.
A simple cam is used to allow the players toe to to keep time.
The dog was made from black walnut and matches the color of my dog hazel. The dog was added to fill in a large void on top of the frame.
The mechanism requires a speed reduction otherwise the concertina player would be playing much too fast. So the big gear is there to give a 2:1 gear reduction. The arm rotation mechanism is very simple. One arm rotates clockwise. That arm has a link which connects to the drive gear. On the other end of the link it is attached to another link which is attached to the other arm shaft. When the arm rotates clockwise, the other end of the link rotates counter clockwise so both arms rotate out and in at the same time. The dog tail is also attached to the the first arm shaft so the tail of the dog rotates the same amount as the arm.
I normally write a complete set of construction plans for my projects but this one had too many "Just change the size till it works" things in it.
The project is simply a "Having fun with wood" thing and I welcome comments.
