There are many materials that can be used to build a retaining wall. I chose the cheaper route by using 2x10 and 2x6 ground contact treated pine. I left off a few steps that I didn't feel were necessary for this build. I did not included a drain pipe behind my wall and I did not use cement to fill the holes for my support posts.
