St Kitts Carnival 2020 VLOG | Sugar Mas 48 | Luxe Carnival, Chattabox Jouvert, Silent Night + MORE!

First Vlog Ever! I’ve decided to record my Sugar Mas on the road experience with Luxe Carnival & Chattabox Jouvert + few fetes that I’ve attended for the carnival season. This will be my third year attending. I’ve also played mas with Majesty Carnival (Formerly known as Solid Skb), Ultra Carnival & Red Devils.

Reviews:

Jab on the ocean:

This was a Grenada Jab-Jab themed, food inclusive boat cruise. They had both local and regional DJs such as Blackstone Sounds out of Nevis. It was my second time attending this boat cruise as the first one was a major success. My only dislike about this ‘Mini Fete’ is that drinks were not inclusive. What’s a boat cruise without ‘Free’ drinks, lol! Nevertheless, this was my favorite cruise for the SZN! I give them an astounding 9/10. -1 because I had to purchase tickets every time I needed a drink.

Silent Night Ecstasy:

Do I recommend? YES. This event tops all events because it is NOT your regular FETE. Imagine being at a fete where you choose what music you want to listen to. We had the option of listening to Hip-Hop, Dance hall or SOCA. Now yall know, your boy Socaholicc is basically addicted to SOCA. My station was SOCA from the start to the end. This even was the BOMB! PeriodT. Need I say more? I don’t think so, because this was a straight up 100/10. Dj Tero deserves all the awards in the world for being an amazing DJ & event organizer, AS HE SHOULD. This is an event that nobody deserves to miss.

Cooler Fete:

Fete of the year?! YES! Cooler fete by CaneJuice was one of my favorite fetes ever attended! There were so many amazing performances by some of my favorite Soca artistes such as Patrice Roberts & Motto! Although this was a ‘Cooler Fete’ you had the option to purchase a Gold Ticket which was the drinks inclusive ticket. Now let me tell you why this was the NOT the ticket I’d recommend. I waited nearly 25 minutes to receive ONE drink! Only one small bar was available for the gold ticket holders & that was a literal… embarrassment. Will I attend cooler fete again? DEFINITELY! Waiting for a drink for such long period could not change my mind about how amazing this event was. Rating? They’ll get an 8.5/10. I’m looking forward to 2020’s line up & hopefully the ‘Gold Bar’ situation is corrected.

Luxe Carnival:

A new band experience in St. Kitts that I was HERE for. This was Luxe carnival's first year on the road & they came with a brand new experience! I would like to give a big shout out to Luxe's marketing team because they were the ones that had me reaching into my pocket to make that good $500 deposit, like ASAP. Luxe brought refreshing ideas to St. Kitts & I commend them for that. They had influencers from all over the world to vlog their experience with the band. Being the newest band with the MOST vibes, they had about 10 DJs, both local such as DJ Tero & international such as Dj LadyDrea & Dj Avalanche . When I tell you this band had vibes? TRUST ME. They had two music trucks on the road, one for the DJ lovers & one for the local band lovers. Imagine having the best of both worlds in one troupe. We even had a cool down truck & servers on the road. There is so much that I would love to say about this troupe, however, due to limited space, YouTube wont let me be great! lol. Overall, Luxe Carnival gets a solid 10/10 from me. I am definitely looking forward to playing with them in 2021!
