The Kruger National Park in 14 Days | Part 2

Part 2 of our 14 day Kruger National Park adventure, exploring the southern portion of this world class game reserve in South Africa. Where the northern parts of the park could be said to be dominated by the thick mopane forests, the south is more open savannah and is said be some to be the best part for viewing the big predators. Which was our experience for sure, we had some of the best game viewing ever.

Starting from Tamboti Tented Camp near Orpen Gate, we travelled east, not very far, to Satara, the 2nd largest rest camp in the Kruger Park. From there we headed south, stopping briefly at Skukuza, the administrative centre of the Kruger and the largest rest camp, and onwards to Lower Sabie Rest Camp. This is definitely my favourite rest camp in the Kruger National Park, and while some might disagree, it's popularity certainly suggests that many do. Then we headed west, across the park to Berg En Dal Rest Camp, one of the newest, where we enjoyed the climax of the trip, a leopard chilling in a tree, on our second to last day in the park. From there we exited at Malelane Gate to end a very special trip.

I’m Chris Corbet, an overlanding, adventure & road trip fanatic and video creator with a passion for nature & wildlife conservation. My motto is "live your adventure". After many years in the digital marketing space, I opted out of corporate life and embraced an overland road tripping and adventure lifestyle instead.

I'm currently embarked on a 2 year long mission, Project #60460, to visit 60 of the most unique places in southern and east Africa to mark my 60th year on this, the only planet that we have. The journey is in support of 3 of Africa's big cats: the Lion, Leopard & Cheetah. I'll be sharing the adventure with weekly videos and daily updates in stories, the community tab and shorts.

Join me on this epic overland road trip and help support these incredible predators. You can help keep the journey going by supporting me on Patreon, AND by doing so you'll be contributing to the conservation of these incredible apex predators: https://www.patreon.com/KangelaLife/.
