Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens Jungle Trails Habitat

Jungle Trails takes us on a journey through the rainforests of Africa and Asia, here we will meet

Mueller's Gibbon's - Also Known as the Grey Gibbon, the Mueller's Gibbon makes it home on the island of Borneo. Here they defend their territory with long, loud singing.

White-Handed Gibbons - White Handed Gibbon is another name for Lar Gibbons, they communicate through term songs, with combos of duets by bonded pairs. They spend most of their lives in the trees.

Black and White Ruffed Lemurs - Inhabiting the eastern rainforest of Madagascar. Weighing up to nine pounds their thick fur is suited to the wet environment of the rainforest canopy.

Bonobos - Bonobos are smaller, darker and leaner than Chimpanzees. Bonobo Groups tend to be led by females. Also known as pygmy chimpanzees, Bonobos can only be found in forests south of the Congo River in The Democratic Republic of Congo.

Sumatran Orangutans - Found only in the dense northern forests of the Indonesian Island of Sumatra. Spending almost all their time up in the trees, They are slightly smaller than the Bornean Orangutans.
