A small portion of the 13 minute + display
Equipment and software used:
- Christie DS+25 2,500 lumen projector with a short-throw lens
- Adobe After Effects for compositing and 2D animation of some elements.
- Adobe Premiere Pro for sound editing to the video segments.
- Adobe Photoshop for basic image editing of the house. (removing the sky and cutting the picture into segments for further manipulation in After Effects.)
- I use a lot of practical elements (fire, smoke, etc...) from various 3rd party licensed products.
- The entire 13 minute+ video plays directly from my laptop at a resolution of 1,440 x 1,050.

- I'm a video producer of 25+ years. Much of what you see here would be pretty hard to replicate without similar knowledge and experience in all aspects of video production, editing, composting, animation, and sound design.
- Tip #1... don't paint your house's window shutters black like I did the previous year! I don't know what the heck I was thinking!! They've been repainted a much lighter color since this video was shot! =P
Tip #2... At the end of the night... don't get lazy and film your labor of love with your crappy cell phone's camera when you own professional cameras that could have captured it SO much better! I was tired. Extremely freaking tired from the 2 months solid of putting everything inside and out together. Years later... I'm still tired.
