नवरात्रि के 9 दिन के पावन त्यौहार में देवी भगवती के नो रूपों की पूजा की जाती है।नवरात्रि के दूसरे दिन मां #ब्रह्मचारिणी​ देवी की पूजा की जाती है।यह देवी दुर्गा के नौ अवतारों में से एक है। ब्रह्मचारिणी अवतार में, मां दुर्गा तपस्या करती हैं। ब्रह्मचारिणी नाम दो शब्दों से लिया गया है - "ब्रह्म" का अर्थ है तप या तपस्या और "चारिणी" का अर्थ है उत्साह से भरी हुई महिला । शास्त्रों में ब्रह्मचारिणी का अर्थ तप की चारिणी यानि तप का आचरण करने वाली बताया गया है। देवी का यह रूप पूर्ण ज्योतिर्मय और अत्यंत भव्य है। इस देवी के दाएं हाथ में जप की माला है और बाएं हाथ में यह कमण्डल धारण किए हैं।मां का यह रूप अपने भक्तों और सिद्धों को अनंत फल देने वाला है। मां ब्रह्मचारिणी देवी की उपासना से तप, त्याग, वैराग्य, सदाचार और संयम मैं वृद्धि होती है।
