Aerial Logging Systems (1976)
This 1976 film by John Garland looks at a study by researchers at Oregon State University working with the U.S. Forest Service in the summers of 1973 and 1974 examining new techniques of getting timber out of the woods. A comparison was done of three different aerial logging systems in Mount Hood National Forest -- helicopter logging, balloon logging, and skyline logging -- looking at cost, production rates, and efficiency.
