Energy rebate an ‘admission of guilt’ Labor’s energy bill ‘has failed’
Nationals Leader David Littleproud says the energy rebate announced in the federal budget is an “admission of guilt” that Labor’s energy bill “has failed".
In the budget, it was announced every Australian will receive a $300 energy bill rebate.
“What Australians need to understand is their energy system is broken because we have this ideological view of this all-renewables approach,” Mr Littleproud told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“An all-renewables approach that’s going to cost you, the Australian taxpayer, $1.2 trillion in its first iteration.
“What we’ve said from the very start … is to explore nuclear and we will have an energy policy that is all of the above.”
