Mk8.5 Volkswagen Golf R Review | Exterior and Interior | R Performance Pack | Practical Hot Hatch?

The Volkswagen Golf R is over 20 years old, and since 2002 over 250,000 examples have been sold, with over 50,000 in the UK alone. This popular hot hatch has gained a loyal following thanks to performance figures like 0-62 mph in 4.6 seconds.

In this video I review the Mk8.5 Golf R by taking a look around the exterior, interior, and taking it out for a road test. The latest Golf R is available as a 5-door hatch, 5-door estate, and in the Black Edition trim. It sits on the MQB Evo platform with 333 hp and 420 Nm

This one that I drove comes in Lapiz Blue with Blue/Soul Black Upholstery and 9-inch 'Warmenau' Dark Graphite diamond turned wheels. It also comes with the R Performance Pack.
