How to make stainless steel shanks for predator flies
Making steel shanks is easy. All you need is 0.6, 0.8 and 1mm wide stainless steel wire, a 1-Step Looper tool, round nose pliers, wire cutter and standard long nose pliers (optional). I make shanks for Beast Fleyes, Gamechangers, front and rear articulated flies and in this video my Mono-rig for tubes flies. The Looper tool come in three sizes, but prefer the medium 2.25mm.
