Allan Sherman Crazy Downtown 1965
Sort of the like the original Weird Al Yankovic, Allan herman was a popular 1960's song parody artist. Here he is on network TV (Hollywood Palace ABC-TV) in 1965 doing his version of the Petula Clark hit "Downtown" which he calls "Crazy Dowtown." He makes reference to the parents taking the popular 1960's tranquilizer Miltown (meprobamate) which you don't see much of these days as that drug was largely replaced by benzodiazepines.
