We are named in honor of my Great Uncle, who served in the USN from 1940-1946. He was a veteran of Coral Sea, Guadalcanal, Savo Island, Normandy, Cherbourg, Southern France, Yalta Conference cruise, TF-58 Typhoon, Okinawa, and the surrender of Japan in Tokyo Bay. Ships included USS Chicago CA-29, USS Texas BB-35 and USS Quincy CA-71.
