Unboxing a Khaki Sola Pith Hat

In the first half of the 20th Century, the Wolseley Sun Helmet reigned supreme as the headwear of choice for British soldiers in tropical stations. Along side it, in a smaller setting, the Khaki Sola Pith Hat also served, eventually supplanting it in on Indian service in 1939, on the eve of the Second World War. Recently, I was lucky enough to find an example of this iconic helmet of the British Empire.
