Geotube Coastal Protection & Beach Nourishment, U.A.E

In 2008 ICM (Australia) and EcoCoast (Dubai) designed and constructed a beach protection system for a heavily eroded hotel beachfront within 3 months.
The design had a minimal footprint as not to disturb the surrounding reef.
Physical and Numerical modeling was conducted and post monitoring of the site has proven that the beach is stable, while the geotubes have provided a marine habitat boost.
