The power of the sun

Together with the European Union, we are helping to keep islands green – like Brac in Croatia.

The island enjoys more than 2,600 hours of sunshine annually, so we helped it unleash the power of solar energy.

Our loan and an InvestEU guarantee have unlocked a €35 million investment to build one of Croatia’s largest solar power plants, which produces up to one-third of Brac’s energy needs.
