Love Marriage God Sacred Marriage

We were never meant to worship our spouses.. When I expect my wife to be God to me she will fail me every-time. It’s not fair for me to put these kind of expectations on her.. Nor am I leading her to God when I try to be God to her.. However the two shall become one flesh.. My wife is my equal and an equal part of me.. If I don’t trust in myself to make myself happy why would I put these expectations on my other half? This is the biggest problem with Marriage today Is we marry often because we think this will make us happy.. This kind of thinking is really Idolatry because instead of trusting God for our lives, we instead trust our own decisions that these parts of Gods Creation will make us happy?? So if Marriage wasn’t created to make us happy then why was it created? I am glad you asked..
Marriage was never designed to make us happy as much as it was created to make us Holy. (Holy Matrimony?) God would never give you a person to worship that would compete with himself!! But the two Become one flesh, and a cord or THREE Strands can not easily be broken!!! But when we expect people to be God to us they will fail us every time!!! In fact this is an unfair expectation as people don't usually divorce out of lack of feelings for their spouses as much as they divorce because they no longer like themselves and who they themselves have become in the relationship!! So whats the answer?? Simply God.. God is the giver of Love.. And he has given us the answer when he said I command you to Love one another as I have loved YOU!! So you see people don't fall out of Love, instead they fall out of Obedience.. I would guess God may tire of sending the warm and fuzzes if that Love competes with himself.. There is a false love from satan that is very controlling, lustful, and that actually causes the spouse to use the other to make themselves look and feel good.. This is NOT GODS LOVE.... Gods Love is totally unselfish.. It keeps no record of wrongs.. Through submission to Christ that transfers to the Spouse (Not worship) a sacrificial Love in Which God calls the Born again believer to give his life for that of his spouse, children, bosses, and neighbor... I believe the term Holy Matrimony to me is about Die-ing to self, so that Christ lives in us and does the work as a cord of THREE STRANDS... This is a crazy Love that is better than sex or anything that satan will try to substitute as satan has a substitute for everything in which today this world has totally fallen for.. But Love from God is explosive as the More we give to God the More Love then we have left over for everybody else.. But it’s usually only available to people who have been tested and willing to give everything for this Awesome God that Loves us and wants to bless us with himself.. So if your looking for somebody to make you happy you may just be dragging each other, through each other’s troubles and baggage, doubling your unhappiness!! Again the answer?? Seek ye FIRST the kingdom of heaven and everything else will be added on to you!!!

Imagine buying a wedding ring for your Future wife you are about to propose too?
With all the Love in your heart and dreams of future you drop to one knee and you pop the question????
She thinks for a minute and says, well it would be nice to have security, and I love all your cars and house and family. So sure why not, everybody is doing it these days, however I want to warn you about one thing. She says I do Love your little brother who is already married more than you. And since I can’t have him, I guess I will settle for you then!!!

What would you say to that????
You would say something like this.
I guess I will take the ring back, because if I am going to marry you, I need to be #1 in your life. I can’t be second to anybody that I marry; I need that #1st place in your heart if this is going to work. Right?

Well God needs to be #1, or a cord of three strands becomes a selfish cord of 1 strand.. Blessings!
