Shoreline Equipment Laws and Best Practices

Calling all dock and lift owners and lake service provider businesses. The health of Minnesota waters depends on you!

Clean, drain and dry all docks, lifts and swim rafts before moving or installing equipment. After decontaminating equipment, it is legally required to ensure equipment sits out of water for 21 days before installing into a different lake or river. If you hire a lake service provider, verify they are trained, permitted and follow aquatic invasive species laws.

Your actions help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species!
