2022 Special Olympics Volunteers Needed

A special message from OCPS School Board Chair Teresa Jacobs about the 2022 Special Olympics being held in Orlando in June and the need for volunteers. Hosted at venues across Orange and Osceola counties, more than a thousand athletes from across the United States will compete in 19 different sports. The Games' Local Organizing Committee needs thousands of volunteers to fill a variety of roles, beginning as early as May. Students 15 years or older and all employees are encouraged to volunteer. Not only is this a great way for students to earn their required community service hours, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to engage in an experience that provides a pathway for growth and continued advocacy for a more inclusive world.
