Salivary duct stone – Sialolithiasis - How to treat?

Salivary stones are calcifications that may occur along the salivary ducts where the saliva flows.

Sialolithiasis is a condition where a mass or stone usually calciulm, forms in a salivary gland, usually in the duct of the submandibular gland like in this case, which can obstruct the flow of the saliva towards the mouth. Surgical removal was performed followed by superficial suturing of the duct, leaving it permeable.
