Offshore wind farm proposal is ‘absolute madness’
Nationals MP David Gillespie says the offshore wind farms proposal near Port Stephens, NSW is a testament to “absolute madness”.
Mr Gillespie told Sky News Australia the wind farms are an “impediment to commercial sea traffic”.
“It’s right off the northern entry into the Port of Newcastle and off Port Stephens.
“It affects national security because it makes our energy system more dependent on the weather.
“It’s absolute madness.”
