This video is about replacing the OEM HIrschmann antenna with an aftermarket one on W126 W124 W123 W201 Benz. Personally, I do not like the cheap aftermarket antennas. You get what you pay for. However, sometimes you may just want a working antenna until you get a good deal on an OEM Hirschmann antenna. In this video you can find a way to keep the OEM plug using the mating part off of the antenna controller from a non working Hirschmann antenna. There are a few other tips to look out for when you want to install three wire aftermarket antennas. Good luck!

A note on what the car wires are: Red = permanent Plus, Brown = permanent Ground, and Black = Plus on and off coming from the radio and therefore from the antenna switch on the center console.
After market antenna can have different color schemes than the one shown in this video. Make sure to check the antenna's installation guideline for the correct wire connections. Good luck!
