A Day & Night spent at Suryaputri Yamnotri Dham (BkY-Episode 8)

On arrival of Guru Kailapeer of Boodhakedar at the Suryaputri Yamnotri Temple, along with the devotes of the yatra, a grand welcome was received. The head priest of the temple welcomed all the Yatra Pilgrims and later were given place inside the main mandir during the Yamuna Arti in the evening. After the food was served, the youngsters performed Garwali folk dance in the courtyard of the temple & the elders sand bhajans in the temple comples to stay active and awake the whole night. Yamuna originates from this place and is a very sacred and important pilgrimage for hindus. Yamnotri is also one of the Four Dham Yatras in Uttarakhand. Next episode will be Departure from Yamnotri and heading to Shani devta temple near Janki Chatti at Kharsali in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.
