Liveaboard sailing expedition in Lofoten Norway

On this charter we sailed through Vestfjorden's quickly changing arctic weather, while the guests enjoyed spacious, cozy and comfortable accommodations aboard S/Y Stella Oceana. The tender boat picks up a guest near a ferry jetty, we set the anchor for the night and the guests soak in the hot tub on the deck. The captain stays in the bridge for anchor watch, while the guests wake up to breakfast with fresh bread and coffee. We sail to Trollfjord, hoist a saxophone player (@jazzathlete) up the rig, enjoy live music echoing off the mountain sides, and eat a traditional Norwegian home cooked meal called finnbiff (sautéed reindeer) for lunch. The weather changes again and is perfect for setting the sails. With the engine off and sailing with the wind, a curious minke whale swims from afar to check out the boat.
