Doug Ohman, host of LANDMARKS on Pioneer PBS, talks with Budger’s Dinner House owner Bill Beasley. Bill and his wife Lorri have retired and decided to close the doors on the Maynard, Minnesota business on December 31, 2022.
Doug talks to Bill about the early days when Bill’s parents, Donald and Pearl Beasley, purchased a cafe in Maynard in 1963 and called it Budger’s Cafe.

While on location working on a local program for Pioneer PBS, LANDMARKS Highway 23, Host Doug Ohman sat down with Bill Beasley and reviewed the history of the business.
