La vie de Théo, un jeune docker croupissant dans son port natal, s’écoule au rythme monotone des bateaux de marchandises allants et venants. À travers sa rencontre avec Giuseppe, un marin désabusé de passage, Théo puisera en lui le courage d’affronter les vagues afin d’échapper à sa morne existence en tentant d’intégrer l’équipage de Giuseppe.

젊은 부두 노동자 테오의 삶은 지나가는 화물선 경적의 리듬에 맞춰 흘러가듯 단조롭다. 그는 잠시 정박한 배의 선원 주세페를 만나게 되면서 지루한 삶에서 탈출하기 위해 용기를 낸다. 주세페와 함께 삶의 파도에 맞서며 거친 바다를 항해하려는 것이다.
