ElectroMechanica Power Factor - Setting up the controller
What is power factor?
The power factor of an electrical load is the ratio between the apparent power (kVA) and the actual power (kW) consumed.
How is power factor corrected?
Capacitors consume no electrical energy yet store electrical energy to regenate into the network. installation of capacitor banks may correct the power factor almost to unity thereby reducing the energy demand to the network.
